Arsenal fans send Eddie Nketiah message to club's board after win over West Ham

The Arsenal faithful have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to respond to the latest display put forth by hitman Eddie Nketiah.

Mikel Arteta's troops were of course back in action a short time ago.

Brimming with confidence on the back of successive wins over Chelsea and Manchester United, the Gunners made the trip across London, for a derby showdown with West Ham United.

And, when all was said and done, the stellar stretch of form being enjoyed by the day's visitors only continued.

Goals on the part of central defensive duo Rob Holding and Gabriel Magalhaes ultimately proved enough to guide Arsenal to the right side of a 2-1 scoreline, leapfrogging Tottenham back into 4th in the Premier League table in the process.

'New contract, please'

On the back of the action coming to a close at the London Stadium, it should therefore come as little surprise to see the names of a whole host of Arsenal stars take their places centre stage online amid the post-match chatter.

None has been more widely discussed, though, than that of striker Eddie Nketiah.

Afforded his latest opportunity to impress from the off on Sunday, Arsenal's talented young attacker played a key role in the club's eventual victory, leading the line with pace, vigour and a persistent goal threat.

And such efforts, in turn, have even culminated in calls beginning to mount for Nketiah to be afforded a new contract at the Emirates, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer:
