Antonio Conte has been speaking about Dele Alli ahead of the midfielder’s first return to Tottenham following his winter move to Everton.
Alli had been struggling for form since the end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign and, after failing to impress under Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Conte for a short period, Alli was sold to Everton in January after making just three Premier League appearances under the Italian.

Tottenham are now set to face Everton on Monday evening but, rather than worrying Alli could exact his revenge on Spurs, Conte suggested that when players usually leave a side he is in charge of, they go down, not up:
“I don’t remember a player that when he went away, came back with a great spirit of revenge,” Conte said.

Tottenham fans will be very much hoping this is indeed the case as Spurs really need a win vs the Toffees to keep pace with the Europe-chasing teams.
