Cincinnati vs Guadalajara betting tips: Leagues Cup preview, predictions and odds

Cincinnati vs Guadalajara match preview

The team currently topping the MLS table takes on Liga MX’s front-runners in this highly-anticipated Leagues Cup clash in Ohio.

FC Cincinnati are well on course to win MLS’ Supporters’ Shield later this year, kicking off their campaign in this competition with a wild match on Sunday night.

The Orange and Blue came from 2-0 down to hold Sporting KC to a 3-3 draw in Ohio, with Luciano Acosta scoring a 98th minute penalty.

Thus, the match was determined by a penalty shootout, with Cincy pinching the bonus point; Acosta, Brandon Vázquez, Yūya Kubo and Matt Miazga all converting from 12 yards.

So now, another victory, even one by virtue of a penalty shootout, would see Pat Nooan’s team wrap up top spot in Group Central 3.

Guadalajara though will not be easy opponents, having began the new Liga MX Apertura season with three wins out of three, beating León, Atletico San Luis and then Necaxa.
