Nashville vs Inter Miami betting tips: Leagues Cup Final preview, predictions and odds

Nashville vs Inter Miami match preview

Lionel Messi made his debut for Inter Miami a mere 29 days ago, but now is, potentially, 90 minutes away from leading the club to their maiden piece of silverware.

So far, Miami have won every single game in Leagues Cup, enjoying victories over Cruz Azul, Atlanta United, Orlando City, FC Dallas on penalties and then Charlotte.

In Tuesday night’s quarter-final, Tata Martino’s team then recorded their most-impressive result to date, smashing Philadelphia Union 4-1 at Subaru Park.

Josef Martínez, Jordi Alba and David Ruiz all on target, while Messi maintained his record of having scored in every game for Miami, bagging his ninth in six just appearances.

For context, before Messi, Alba and Busquets arrived, the Herons had been terrible, winning just five of 22 matches in MLS in 2023, leaving them rock bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Now though, Miami have qualified for next year’s CONCACAF Champions Cup, and could be hoisting aloft major silverware on Saturday night in Tennessee.

Gary Smith’s side required penalties to overcome both FC Cincinnati and Club América in the early knockout rounds, before the Coyotes demolished Minnesota United 5-0 in the quarter-finals.

Then, in the semis, the Boys in Gold eliminated the last remaining Liga MX club, beating five-times kings of CONCACAF Monterrey 2-0.

Nashville’s own star summer signing Sam Surridge breaking the deadlock in Music City, before Fafà Picault sealed the win in stoppage time.

In summary, this is a good Nashville team, who will have home advantage at Geodis Park for this final, but, even so, Messi and Miami are heavy favourites to win the first edition of the expanded Leagues Cup.
