FC Cincinnati vs Atlanta United
FC Cincinnati to win and over 2.5 goals- 9/4!
Following last Saturday’s emphatic victory, will FC Cincinnati strengthen their case to be involved in the post-season for the very first time?
A week ago, the Orange and Blue ended Philadelphia Union’s five-match winning streaking, demolishing the leaders of the east 3-1 at TQL Stadium.
The usual suspects, Brandon Vazquez and Brenner, both on target before Álvaro Barreal sealed the win.
Excluding own goals, Vazquez or Brenner have now scored 15 of Cincinnati’s last 17 MLS goals.
Before last weekend, Pat Noonan’s team were winless in seven, although seven of their previous nine games have ended in draws.
Atlanta United meantime desperately need points if they’re to make a late play-off charge.
The Five Stripes left it late last weekend but beat Seattle Sounders 2-1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Andrew Gutman’s swerving shot in the 94th minute snatching the points.
This victory means Atlanta have now beaten every single MLS club more than once.
However, in 2022, victories have been harder to come-by.
Gonzalo Pineda’s team are third bottom of the east, although just two points separate them and the play-off places.
Who will come out on top in Ohio?
