Celtic vs Raith Rovers live streaming: Preview

For the second time this season in a cup competition, Celtic and Raith Rovers go head-to-head in Glasgow's East End.

Back in September's League Cup quarter-final, Celtic cruised to a 3-0 victory with Jota, Liel Abada and David Turnbull on target.

Will this one go the same way?

Well, Celtic will certainly be confident as their current form can best be described as imperious.

On Wednesday night, Jota's brace and a first Celtic goal for Matt O'Riley saw the Hoops beat Aberdeen 3-2 at Pittodrie.

This means Ange Postecoglou's side remain top of the Premiership, one point clear of Rangers, having won 17 of their last 19 league games, last losing on 19 September.

Between 2017 and 2020, Celtic won all 12 domestic trophies on offer, completing the quadruple-treble, before ending the last campaign empty handed.

Having already got their hands on the League Cup this time round, will the Celts reach the Scottish Cup quarter-finals?

Raith Rovers meanwhile could hardly be bigger underdogs coming into this match.

John McGlynn's side have had to win two matches in this season's competition, both away from home, getting past Falkirk and Banks O' Dee.

In league terms, Rovers currently sit fourth in the Scottish Championship having drawn 0-0 with Hamilton Accies last weekend.

However, Raith have been in the news for the wrong reasons of late, namely to do with the signing of David Goodwillie.

After all the protestation against his signing, and rightly so, he will not be involved in this one.

Back on the pitch, Celtic should ease to victory at Parkhead.

Prediction: Celtic 3-0 Raith Rovers

This will be the tenth time Celtic have met Raith in the Scottish Cup with the Hoops winning all nine previous meetings.

Rovers' last win at Parkhead in any competition was way back in 1962 with Bobby Adamson scoring the only goal.

Celtic have won 42 of their last 44 domestic cup ties, last losing to a team from outside the top-flight in 2013, a 1-0 defeat to Greenock Morton.
