Reims have fumbled in their pursuit of European football in recent weeks with them winning just one game in April ahead of playing hosts to the struggling Strasbourg at the Stade Auguste Delaune.

Reims were smashed 3-0 by Rennes last weekend after also drawing with Brest the week before that. Combine this with a loss to Marseille just before the international break and it now means only one win in the past four.

Reims did beat Nantes earlier in April, as Alexis Slips scored a brace inside a minute of one another, just as Marhsall Munetsi scored in the second half.

The club now head into this one with a gap of eight points on Lille in fifth and their hopes of a Europa League dream have been shattered with the gap now 14 on Monaco in fourth.

Strasbourg secured a fantastic three points against Ajaccio last weekend thanks to goals from Kevin Gameiro, Habib Diarra and Yuito Suzuki.

It pushes them to within just two points of Brest now and it has all but relegated sides like Troyes and Ajaccio ahead of the remaining seven games.
