Elche vs Getafe betting tips: La Liga preview, predictions and odds

Elche won the reverse fixture at the Coliseum in September but, before that, Getafe were unbeaten in six meetings. Just two of their last ten clashes have produced three goals or more.

Under 2.5 goals is 4/7.

Draw and under 2.5 goals is 9/4.

Only five players have scored more than Enes Ünal's 15 goals in La Liga this season. He is 9/2 to break the deadlock and 13/8 to score anytime.

Match preview

At the start of the season, first a foremost, these two clubs were aiming to avoid relegation and both have achieved this goal.

12 months ago, Elche only survived in La Liga on the final day of the season thanks to a 2-0 victory over Athletic Club.

This time, despite losing their last three, most recently against Celta de Vigo, Francisco's side don't have anything to worry about on the final day.

Los Franjiverdes can start planning for a third successive campaign in the Primera División, last achieving this in the last 1970s.

Getafe meanwhile kick off one place above their hosts due to their superior goal difference.

Azulones' turnaround this season is frankly staggering, given that they lost their first seven matches and were winless 11 games into the campaign.

Nevertheless, Quique Sánchez Flores has worked wonders in Madrid, winning eight matches whilst only losing six since Halloween.

Getafe have actually drawn their last four games, most recently 0-0 with Barcelona last Sunday, and this has seen them over the line.

The pressure is off for both, so will this be conducive for an entertaining game at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero?

Elche team news

Javier Pastore was only on the bench last weekend and, given that his contract expires next month, this could be his last appearance for the club.

Up front, Ezequiel Ponce could return; his red card against Cádiz saw him suspended last weekend agains Celta de Vigo.

Guido Carrillo is his likely partner with Lucas Boyé and Pere Milla sidelined.

Getafe team news

Enes Ünal has scored a whopping 15 goals in La Liga this season, despite not netting his first until 27 October.

Borja Mayoral will be his partner in attack with Jamie Mata injured and Sandro out of favour.

Nemanja Maksimović and Mauro Arambarri will continue to be a very solid mifeidl duo, with Carles Aleñá providing creativity.
