Bologna have sacked Dominic Tedesco after just four games in charge and replaced him with Raffaele Palladino.
Tedesco, the former Schalke, Spartak Moscow, RB Leipzig and Belgium boss, was appointed in June following the exit of Vincenzo Italiano, having seen his spell with Fenerbahce come to an end in April.
But Bologna have endured a disappointing winless start to the new season.
They have taken just one point from a possible 12 in Serie A, with last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Napoli proving Tedesco’s last of a very brief tenure.
Palladino will now look to turn their fortunes following a short spell in charge of Atalanta last term.
He replaced Ivan Juric last November and won 18 of his 39 games in all competitions, drawing nine and losing 12.
His efforts were good enough to see Atalanta finish seventh and qualify for the Conference League, but Palladino was relieved of his duties at the end of the season.
Palladino’s first game in charge comes on Saturday, when Bologna host Torino.
