Borussia Monchengladbach are in search of just their seventh win of the season with the club aiming to jump back into contention for a spot in Europe over the coming weeks as Augsburg welcome Daniel Farke’s men to the Augsburg Arena.

Compared to the long and painful relegation fight last season, Gladbach head into this game now up in eighth, despite a loss to ninth-placed Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. Lars Stindl scored another brace that day, as he helped fight from 3-0 down to finish the game in a 3-2 loss for Gladbach.

Farke has so far managed to lose seven games and win seven too ever since taking the helm at the start of this season - it equals a win record of 38.9.

As for Augsburg, they were beaten 4-3 by Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park last time out, but they did manage to draw the game 2-2 and then 3-3 thanks to goals from Arne Maier, Ermedin Demirovic and David Colina.

A stunning goal from Giovanni Reyna stole all three points for Dortmund shortly after it went to 3-3, but Augsburg are still out of the relegation zone on goals difference right now.
