L’Equipe & Le Parisien: PSG are trying to get Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal this summer

PSG’s pursuit of Arsene Wenger appears to be building up into one of the big transfer stories of the summer of 2013.

As was widely reported on Friday, the Parisian giants are now on the lookout for a new gaffer after Carlo Ancelotti told his PSG bosses that he’ll be leaving his post come June.

Ancelotti’s contract expires at the Parc de Princes at the end of this campaign, and the Italian is said to be lasar-focused on taking over the reigns at Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho readies himself for a return to Chelsea.

On Saturday in France, the country’s two leading sports papers L’Equipe and Le Parisien have both issued articles reporting that PSG are now intent on getting Arsene Wenger at the helm. The Professor, however, is said to be delaying any discussion on a move back to France until the summer.

Le Parisien suggest that PSG may play a long-game for Wenger, whereby current PSG sporting director Leonardo may sit in the dugout next season only for Wenger to join the club in the summer of 2014.
