Luton Town vs Burnley match preview

After claiming their first-ever Premier League victory at the weekend, can Luton Town back that up with another win that would see them surge towards mid-table?

On Saturday, the Hatters wait for a top-flight victory, that dated back 11,480 days, came to an end as they beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park.

Tom Lockyer broke the deadlock, courtesy of a slide-tackle on the goal-line, before Carlton Morris’ towering header not long after saw them to victory on Merseyside.

Having begun their Premier League adventure with four straight defeats, Rob Edwards’ side are now unbeaten in two, also holding Wolves to a 1-1 draw in their most-recent home outing.

Now, can Luton climb further away from the bottom three with a victory here?

Burnley meantime are still searching for their first three points of the season, following the weekend 2-0 defeat at Newcastle.

In better news for Clarets fans, their team are unbeaten in six meetings with Luton, including a 1-0 victory at Kenilworth Road back in February, a streak that dates back to 2000.

This time, will the Hatters make home advantage count?

Luton Town team news

For the last two matches, Rob Edwards has switched from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-3, with Irish international Chiedozie Ogbene coming in to support Jacob Brown and Carlton Morris in attack.

With Albert Sambi Lokonga facing months on the sidelines due to injury, Marvelous Nakamba will keep his place in midfield.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Kaminski; Lockyer, Burke, Bell; Kaboré, Nakamba, Ruddock Mpanzu, Doughty; Brown, Ogbene, Morris.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Trafford; Roberts, Beyer, Al-Dakhil, Taylor; Cullen, Brownhill, Berge, Foster, Koleosho; Amdouni.
