Inter Milan are back in action in Serie A for the final time at the San Siro this season with the Champions League finalists set to welcome Atalanta to Milan in a massive battle inside the top six in the Italian top flight’s second-to-last gameweek.
Atalanta have moved up into fifth after Juventus’ 10-point deduction in Serie A and they now sit adrift of Inter in third by five points and behind AC Milan by just three points.
They club are behind in the goals difference tally, however, and may not get into the top four regardless of a result in this fixture for Atalanta.
The Bergamo outfit did, however, return to the win column last time out by beating Hellas Verona 3-1 after losing to Salernitana and Juventus before that.
As for Inter, they are all but in the Champions League for next season and they will secure a spot in the top four with just a draw in this game. With this in mind, they no doubt have one eye on the Champions League final against Manchester City in two weeks.
