Hibernian vs Celtic match preview

Will Celtic’s post-title clinching winless run continue?

On Saturday, the Hoops came from a goal down twice to draw 2-2 with St Mirren at Parkhead.

Kyōgo Furuhashi on target, his 31st of the season, before Callum McGregor’s long-range strike rescued a point.

So, Ange Postecoglou’s team have actually won just one of their last four, although this victory did see the Celts secure the title at Tynecastle earlier this month.

Celtic will get their hands on the Premiership trophy on Saturday, before facing Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup Final a week later, aiming to complete a fifth treble in just eight seasons.

In contrast, Hibernian still have plenty to play for in the league, as they aim to rubber stamp their return to European football.

Before this though, Lee Johnson’s side were unbeaten in four, winning back-to-back home games.

This leaves the Hibees fifth, two points clear of the Saints and four below Hearts, who they face in an Edinburgh Derby on the final day of the season.

Celtic have won all three meetings with Hibs this season, scoring 13 goals, with this trend set to continue at Easter Road.
