Manchester United boost as PSG unlikely to sign €100m star

Manchester United have been handed a boost on the transfer front on Friday.

The player in question is Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Randal Kolo Muani.

Muani joined Frankfurt last summer and the striker has gone on to have a very impressive debut season in Germany.

He has scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists in 41 outings across all competitions so far this season.

Previous reports have suggested that Manchester United will have to pay €120m to land Muani’s services.

That is a fairly steep fee and one that may prove too much for PSG – the other side interested in the Frenchman.

As per Jonathan Johnson: “There’s been some talk of Kylian Mbappe speaking to his French international teammate Randal Kolo Muani about joining him at PSG, but the issue here is that it’s going to be difficult to justify paying the kind of money required for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, given that he left Nantes on a free fairly recently,” Johnson explained.

“PSG do need a centre-forward of that profile, though, and it helps that Kolo Muani is from the Paris region as they look to ‘Frenchify’ their squad, so to speak. Still, I’d find it hard to imagine PSG piling all that money into someone like Kolo Muani when a similar player in Marcus Thuram is set to become available as a free agent; they’re not exactly the same kind of player but he’d be another good option and another French talent who could offer a solution in that position.”

This could leave Manchester United with a free run at the striker heading into the summer.
