Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has, on Sunday evening, spoken out on the prospect of his side denying neighbours and rivals Man City a shot at the treble.
This comes with United, of course, fresh off booking a showdown with the Sky Blues early in June.
Owing to an FA Cup semi-final downing of Brighton & Hove Albion, the Red Devils will go toe-to-toe with Pep Guardiola’s rampant troops, with sights set on a domestic cup double.
City, though, are themselves eyeing a silverware haul come the campaign’s close, still in the hunt for all of the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
Speaking on the back of his side’s downing of Brighton on Sunday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of United potentially ending the treble hopes of their noisy neighbours was put to Erik ten Hag.
And the Dutchman was absolutely unwavering in his response, assuring that the Reds are ready to do ‘everything’ in their power to seal derby day delight:
Ten Hag on potentially stopping City doing the treble: “I already said, we will give everything. And when I say everything, it’s everything.”
