Aymeric Laporte is very confident that soon he and the Spanish national team will soon be world champions.
La Roja have made a strong start to the tournament by thrashing Costa Rica and outplaying Germany for large parts.
Luis Enrique’s side head into the final match still in jeopardy of exiting the World Cup but in a great position to win Group E.
“Our play is an example for lots of national teams”
The Manchester City man believes that no team in Qatar plays better football than the Spanish.
Laporte also claims that his team are an example to others because of the way they play.
Asked for reasons why Spain will win the competition, the defender told the Guardian: “They’re there for everyone to see.
“Against Germany, one of the best teams in the world, we showed we can play. The ability to manage the ball, to dominate possession, to find passing lines.
“Frankly, I think we have been very good.”
Then asked whether there is a team that plays better football than Spain, he added: “In terms of play: sincerely, no.
“Individually, there are lots of teams with really great players but in terms of the football, the play, very few [like us].”
