Post-Sevilla footage confirms Arsenal personnel boost before Crystal Palace

A timely return could well be on the cards ahead of the Gunners’ season opener next weekend

Footage stemming from the aftermath of Arsenal’s downing of Sevilla earlier today points towards a potentially imminent return on the personnel front.

The player inching towards a comeback? Kieran Tierney.

Stopper Tierney, of course, has been forced back onto the treatment table on the red half of north London of late.

This comes after the Scottish international suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a knee injury, during Arsenal’s pre-season friendly meeting with Nurnberg.

Tierney, in turn, has not featured since, sparking inevitable concerns when it comes to his availability for the opening weeks of the Premier League campaign.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest footage stemming from the Gunners’ camp is anything to go by, then the former Celtic man appears to be approaching match fitness once more.

As showcased below, Tierney was spotted playing his part in a post-match warm-down, on the back of his side’s meeting with Sevilla on Saturday afternoon:

It must be noted, though, that Mikel Arteta’s troops did not exactly struggle in the absence of the club’s first-choice left-back today.

Instead, Arsenal rounded out what proved a hugely impressive stretch of pre-season form courtesy of a head-turning 6-0 downing of Sevilla.

Summer arrival Gabriel Jesus proved the star of the show, bagging a hat-trick, whilst Bukayo Saka was also on target to the tune of a brace.

Eddie Nketiah then rounded out what proved a fine day’s work for all associated with the Gunners two minutes from time, courtesy of his side’s 6th.
