Alexander Isak once again missed out for Newcastle earlier this but is now close to re-joining group training, as confirmed by Howe on Friday.
Callum Wilson also missed the win over Leicester due to illness but he trained on Thursday and a late call will be made on his involvement.
“We’re without Jonjo, Emil Krafth and there’s a couple of other niggles within the squad from Leicester but hopefully we get the majority of the players training today,” he said.
