Manchester United will face off with Spanish side Rayo Vallecano on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the clash, United released their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.
It was a much weaker side than the one that lost to Atletico Madrid on Saturday. However, new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez were handed their first starts for the club.
Cristiano Ronaldo also made the eleven for the first time this summer following the Portuguese’s attempts to leave the club.
Somewhat surprisingly, though, Manchester United fans are not all too happy to see the 37-year-old back in the squad, with just some of the reaction to Ronaldo’s return shown below:
Elsewhere, Erik ten Hag had this to say ahead of kick-off: “A few weeks have passed since I started work at Carrington and I can already feel that we have moved in the right direction.
“There is a lot of quality in this group of players... whoever is selected, I want to see them playing proactive, attacking football and going out with one clear objective: to win. If they do so, then I think Old Trafford will enjoy the spectacle.”
