This came after Gareth Southgate’s troops made the trip to Wrocław, for a meeting with Ukraine.
It was hosts Ukraine who opened the scoring in the clash, upon Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko showcasing his versatility once more courtesy of a fine finish from close range:

England, though, soon worked their way back into proceedings, before levelling things up shortly before half-time.
Captain Harry Kane proved the architect, splitting the Ukrainian backline courtesy of a sumptuous pass, latched onto and slotted home by the surging Kyle Walker:
