Torino vs Roma preview
Torino will welcome Roma to Turin this weekend as Jose Mourinho’s men look to get their top four charge back on track after a falling into fifth and five behind their city rivals Lazio.
Roma are only sitting behind fourth-placed Inter Milan by goals difference, as Inter Milan have scored 47 goals compared to their 38. On the other hand, only Juventus, Lazio and Napoli have better defensive records than Mourinho’s 26 let in.
Roma did return to winning ways after losing to their arch rivals Lazio, as the men from the capital eased past Sampdoria with three second half goals from Stephan El Shaarawy, Paulo Dybala and Georginio Wijnaldum.
As for Torino, they were beaten 4-0 at home by Napoli in their last home outing, although they did defeat Lecce 2-0 just prior to that and Bologna 1-0 before that win.
Last time out, Ivan Juric’s side drew 1-1 with Sassuolo to keep them narrowly in the top half. They are, however, now behind Fiorentina by two points and sit behind Juventus in seventh by six points, despite their 15-point deduction.
