Atalanta will be aiming to reignite their hopes of getting back in the Champions League in 2023 with Serie A set to return with the Bergamo side heading on the road to meet with a Spezia team only just outside the bottom three.
It’s been a very topsy-turvy season for Atalanta so far with them not having any European football this campaign after finishing eighth last season. They started the season off like a rocket by avoiding a loss until gameweek eight.
Now, however, the club are sitting in sixth and with four losses on the board and just 22 goals scored from 15 games. They’ve also won eight games and sit ahead of Roma in seventh by only goals difference.
As for Spezia, they are outside of the bottom three by six points, having won three games compared to Cremonese’s zero in 18th.
They have, however, scored only 14 times from 15 games and let in 26 - this is the worst defensive record in the league after Sampdoria in 19th and Hellas Verona in 20th.
