Inter Milan will face off with Sampdoria in their search to cut the gap to 13 points on Napoli in first with Simeone Inzaghi’s men also in with a chance of extending their lead on third-placed Atalanta to five points.
Although there is barely any movement from any side in the title race besides Napoli, Inter are at the very least still putting down their marker on second place. In fact, Lazio and Roma dropped points once more this week and sides in the top six are failing to find any sort of consistency.
Inter head into this game with 14 wins on the board now, but the gap is still just currently at four points on sixth-placed Lazio. Inzaghi’s side are, however, still coming into this one off the back of a 1-0 win over city rivals, AC Milan.
As for Sampdoria, as Inter sit second from top, Sampdoria remain second from bottom with just two wins on the board. The Genoa side are nine points behind Spezia in this one and will also be hoping Salernitana managed to take points off Hellas Verona just a few hours ago.
This game should be a routine win for Inter after such a great run of form since the World Cup.
