Napoli and Roma will battle at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium this Sunday in the of the weekend in Serie A with the league leaders looking to further cement themselves as the destined champions in Italy after 33 years of hurt.

It’s been a magical season from start to the present day for Napoli. Now, should they beat Roma in Serie A, the club will open up a 16-point gap on the fifth-placed side and all but put one hand on the title with just 18 games left to play.

Very few are doubting that Napoli will go on and win the title this season, as they have managed to smash Juventus 5-1, beat the champions AC Milan at the San Siro, and lose only to Inter Milan so far in 2022/23.

Luciano Spalletti’s eased to a 2-0 win away to Salernitana last time out, as Giovanni Di Lorenzo scored a goal just before half time, before Victor Osimhen scored just three minutes into the second 45.

Roma have been excellent since the World Cup, beating Bologna, Fiorentina and Spezia in Serie A without letting in a single goal. The club’s only dropped points came in a 2-2 thriller at the San Siro against Milan.
