It’s been a massively successful season for Ross County, but their European dreams are now over.
The Staggies were amongst the pre-season favourites for relegation, theories that looked set to come to fruition when they failed to win any of their first ten matches.
However, since that first victory on 17 October, Malky Mackay’s men have won nine times more, sneaking into the top six at the last.
Since the split though, Ross County have only added one point to their tally, most recently getting hammered 4-1 at Rangers on Wednesday.
So, the Highlanders will finish sixth which, despite being a remarkable achievement, will see them agonisingly miss out on Europe for the first time.
Dundee United though will be back in UEFA competition after a decade away.
This was sealed in midweek when the Tangerines held champions Celtic to a 1-1 draw, courtesy of Dylan Levitt’s stunning long-range equaliser.
Tam Courts’ side have only won four of their last 23 Premiership games, but are currently fifth in the table.
Fourth-placed Motherwell, who are one point ahead, go to Celtic Park simultaneously, meaning the Arabs need a result to pinch fourth.

Unless any of the four players just behind him, two of whom are injured, bag a hat-trick, Regan Charles-Cook will win the Premiership’s golden boot.
The Grenada intentional has managed 13 this season, although they’re without a goal in nine.
He, Joseph Hungbo and Ross Callachan will form a high-level attacking trio.

Dylan Levitt, on loan from Manchester United, has now scored seven goals this season, all of which seem to be more spectacular than the last.
Tim Akinola, Ian Harkes and Peter Pawlett are all out injured, meaning 16 year old Rory MacLeod was given his debut against Celtic.
He’ll be hoping for more minutes here, even though his GCSEs commence next week.
Nicky Clark led the line on Wednesday but Marc McNulty and/or Tony Watt could come in here.
