Livingston vs St Mirren betting tips: Scottish Premiership preview, predictions and odds

Match preview

Will St Mirren start to build some momentum?

On Christmas Eve, the Buddies came from a goal down to beat Aberdeen 3-1 in Paisley.

Mark O’Hara’s equalising from the penalty spot, his shot thwacking the post and then the goalkeeper, before O’Hara converted another spot-kick, with Greg Kiltie sealing the win late on.

This was St Mirren’s first match for 42 days and their first victory for 63 days, but a result that lifted Stephen Robinson’s side up to sixth.

Livingston meanwhile didn’t quite enjoy as much festive cheer on Christmas Eve.

The Lions were hammered 4-0 by Hibernian at Easter Road, on a day when everything went wrong.

Jason Holt was sent off after just 15 minutes, before both Esmaël Gonçalves and Jack Fitzwater were unsuccessful from the penalty spot.

This means Davie Martindale’s men have lost both games since returning to action, narrowly beaten 2-1 at Celtic Park last Wednesday.

Nevertheless, Livi are just one point worse-off than their visitors, and are eight clear of danger.

Will there be a winner at the Tony Macaroni Arena?
