Dunfermline Athletic vs Kilmarnock match preview

This League Cup campaign could hardly have gone any better for Dunfermline Athletic so far, so can they now claim a Premiership scalp?

Last weekend, the Pars held Fife rivals Raith Rovers to a 1-1 draw, Lewis McCann on target at Stark’s Park, before also picking up the bonus point, prevailing 4-2 in the penalty shootout.

Then, in their first home game of the campaign, James McPake’s men demolished Annan Athletic 4-0 on Tuesday, with Sam Fisher breaking the deadlock, before McCann scored twice.

So now, another win for Dunfermline would book their place in the knockout stages, but the group’s top-flight outfit will be the visitors for this one.

Kilmarnock meanwhile have only been in action once so far in Group F, but scored three times and picked up three points against Annan last weekend.

Danny Armstrong converting a penalty, before Fraser Murray and Innes Cameron were on target Rugby Park.
