It’s an all-League One affair in Clackmannanshire, with both clubs dreaming of a glamour tie in round five.

Falkirk are, probably, Scotland’s biggest underachievers, last featuring in the top-flight in 2010, with this their third consecutive season in the third-tier.

Right now, the Bairns are second in League One, seven points adrift of Dunfermline, despite winning three games on the spin.

In Scottish Cup terms, Falkirk captured this trophy in both 1913 and 1957, reaching the finals of 1997, 2009 and 2015.

This season, John McGlynn’s men hammered Wick Academy 6-0 in round three, but are expecting a far tougher test this time.

Alloa Athletic meanwhile, just about, overcame Broomhill in the last round, needing a stoppage time penalty from Scott Taggart to sneak through.

In the league, the Wasps are only two places and there points worse off than their opponents, with Falkirk’s 3-1 win when they last met in October the difference.

Alloa’s recent Scottish Cup record is horrendous though, winning just five ties since 2015, last advancing through multiple ties within the same season in 2013/14.
