It’s another London derby in the Premier League as West Ham United welcome Brentford to the London Stadium with both sides coming off the back of a winless games against the north London outfits.
West Ham took the lead against Arsenal thanks to a penalty from Said Benrahma. The Hammers fell apart in the second half, however, as a rally from the Gunners shattered the West Ham defence and forced David Moyes’ side to leave without a point.
Brentford met with Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League return. Similarly to West Ham’s game against Arsenal, the Bees were by far the best team in the first half and took a deserved 2-0 lead right up until the last 30 minutes of the game.
Ivan Toney netted another goal that day in what is turning out to be one of his best seasons in football, given the level of opposition he is up against. Vitaly Janelt also scored for Brentford to keep his side in 10th and ahead of West Ham by six points.
In fact, a loss here could spell disaster for Moyes’ men and a relegation battle may not be too far away.
