Theo Walcott joins Tottenham pile-on after Arsenal’s North London Derby win

Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott made use of the opportunity to direct a less-than-subtle dig at Tottenham Hotspur, on the back of the meeting between the two clubs earlier today.

The latest edition of the North London Derby, of course, was played to completion a short time ago.

Amid the club’s ongoing push for the Premier League title, Arsenal made the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, aware that a victory would guide them a whopping eight points clear at the division’s summit.

And, when all was said and done, to say that Mikel Arteta’s troops went on to get the job done would be putting it lightly.

After a Hugo Lloris own goal handed the Gunners the advantage early on, Martin Odegaard put the finishing touches on a thoroughly-deserved 2-0 result courtesy of a wonderful long-range strike ten minutes from half-time:

Tottenham, in turn, have since inevitably found themselves as the butt of the joke in north London, as all associated with Arsenal take full advantage of a memorable day in what is fast proving a remarkable campaign.

The player in question? Theo Walcott.

Taking to his official Instagram account, wide-man Walcott, now of Southampton, unveiled an old photo of himself being stretchered from the pitch.

In the image, taken during a North London Derby clash back in the 2013/14 campaign, the one-time English international can be seen signalling a 2-0 scoreline, the same margin by which Arsenal, of course, emerged victorious on Sunday evening:
