Why Thomas Partey may miss Arsenal vs Manchester City

Arsenal could have been dealt a big blow on the personnel front ahead of their upcoming clash.

Manchester City and Arsenal face off in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Arsenal head into the game sat top of the Premier League, looking to extend their lead over Man City.

However, the Gunners have dropped five points in their last two league outings. This has seen Pep Guardiola’s side move to within three points of Arsenal. And because of Manchester City’s goal difference, they will go top with a win tonight.

And it now looks as though Arsenal may have to face City without one of their key men after it was reported ahead of the game that Thomas Partey did not arrive with the squad.

@Teamnewsandtix on Twitter, who has made a name for himself as a reliable source when it comes to team news, stated on Wednesday afternoon that Partey did not arrive with the rest of the Arsenal squad.

Mikel Arteta confirmed on Tuesday that Arsenal had no new injuries and Partey was seen in training yesterday, so his absence vs City currently remains a mystery.
