Why Manchester United fans are supporting AS Monaco on Tuesday

Manchester United fans have taken to social media to pledge their support for AS Monaco on Tuesday.

Monaco are in Champions League action on Tuesday vs Dutch outfit, PSV. It is a qualifying match, with the scores level at 1-1 from the first leg played out between the pair.

Now, with the game set to kick off at 7:30 pm UK time, many Manchester United fans have decided to support Monaco.

The reason for this comes because of Manchester United’s interest in Juventus midfielder, Adrien Rabiot.

It has been reported that Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, is waiting to see if AS Monaco progress in tonight’s Champions League qualifier against PSV before engaging in further talks with Manchester United as Monaco also want Adrien Rabiot.

Under normal circumstances, this would see Manchester United fans supporting PSV as Rabiot is less likely to pick United if the other club interested in him has Champions League football.

However, as United fans do not want to sign the Frenchman, they are instead opting to support Monaco so that Rabiot joins the Ligue 1 team instead.
