Manchester United headed into the game sat 5th in the Premier League.

However, they are six points off 4th with two games in hand, meaning a win on Sunday and a win in their game in hand would see them go level on points with Tottenham.

Fulham, meanwhile, were 9th in the table with two wins from five.

Ahead of the game, Manchester United released their squad an hour before kick-off.

It was a strong eleven and bench from the Red Devils, but there was one big name omitted.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has worked his way back into Erik ten Hag’s plans in recent weeks, did not even make it onto the bench.

“No, otherwise they would be here. We are happy, Anthony Martial is available with Elanga and Rashford, with Fernandes in behind them.”
