West Ham United FC head coach David Moyes has, on Friday, provided an update on the wellbeing of Maxwel Cornet.
Wide-man Cornet has spent the last week on the sidelines.
This comes after the summer arrival from Burnley, as a reward for his recent performances in Europe, was afforded a first Premier League start in West Ham colours.
En route to an eventual 2-0 downing of Wolverhampton Wanderers, though, the Ivory Coast international was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.
With just over half an hour on the clock, Cornet pulled up with a fitness issue, subsequently confirmed to be muscular by David Moyes.

Cornet, in turn, sat out the Hammers’ Europa Conference League win over Anderlecht in midweek.
And the tactician went on to confirm that Cornet will be unavailable for selection once more on Sunday afternoon.
This comes with the one-time Lyon star expected to remain on the treatment table ‘for a few more days’.
Maxel Cornet is out of the game. ‘He’s got a small calf strain. I don’t think it’s as bad as we first feared, but it will keep him out for a few days,’ said Moyes. ‘Elsewhere, we’ve got a few knocks and niggles but hopefully we’ll be OK by the time we get to Sunday.’ #WHUFC
