Watch: Kylian Mbappe sits down Dutch defender during Euro 2024 qualifier

Kylian Mbappe scored a superb goal in France’s latest outing.

France faced off with the Netherlands on Friday evening in what was their first outing since the 2022 World Cup final, which they lost to Argentina on penalties.

Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the final and was back among the goals on Friday.

After Hugo Lloris brought his international career to an end following Qatar, Mbappe has been named as Les Bleus’ captain and wore the armband vs the Netherlands.

France ran out 4-0 winners on the day. Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring after just two minutes with Dayot Upamecano adding a second six minutes later.

Mbappe got his first of the evening with 21 minutes on the clock but it was his second of the day 88 minutes in that really caught the eye.

Mbappe teased and toyed with the Dutch defence in the dying minutes of Les Bleus’ 4-0 victory in Paris.

He picked up a loose ball in the visitors’ half and ran at the orange shirts, feinting to shoot twice before lashing a laser finish into the bottom corner for his country’s fourth goal:

France’s second Euro 2024 qualifier sees them face off with the Republic of Ireland on Monday evening.
