Footage of Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe finding the net for England’s U21s has come to the fore late on Saturday evening.
For those who may have missed it, Smith Rowe was back in action on the international stage a short time ago.
Amid ongoing efforts to secure a return to full fitness, the 22-year-old was afforded a start by Lee Carsley, as England’s U21 outfit went head-to-head with their French equivalents.
And, as alluded to above, ESR went on to take full advantage of the opportunity afforded to him.
En route to a head-turning 4-1 Young Lions victory, Arsenal’s talented young academy product kicked the scoring into gear, early in the 2nd-half.
Breaking free in the France penalty area, Smith Rowe was picked out courtesy of a fine delivery from captain Morgan Gibbs-White.
And the midfielder made no mistake with his ensuing finish, nodding emphatically beyond Lucas Chevalier, in a timely reminder to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta of his unquestionable talents heading into the season’s closing months.
