Seven players Arsenal could sell in 2023 summer transfer window

Arsenal could be set for a summer clear out in the upcoming transfer window.

The Sun report that £72m club record signing Nicolas Pepe could lead an exodus, which may include Nuno Tavares, Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sambi Lokonga, Cedric Soares and Alex Runarsson.

Nicolas Pepe will likely go down as one of the worst signings in Arsenal and perhaps Premier League history.

The Ivorian remains the Gunners’ record signing to this day but things simply did not go to plan at the Emirates.

Pepe had excelled in Ligue 1 with Lille, showcasing himself as one of the most dominant wingers in Europe.

However, Pepe never really got to grips with the Premier League and quickly fell out of favour. Unai Emery – the man in the dugout when Pepe was signed – has since come out and stated he wanted to sign Wilfried Zaha instead of Pepe, which in hindsight was a better option.

As for the other six players, they have shown that they are not good enough to start on a regular basis for this Arsenal side, who now have Premier League aspirations and will be playing in the Champions League next term.
