West Ham ‘tracking’ Manchester United midfielder

West Ham United are giving consideration to an offer for a long-time member of the midfield setup at Premier League rivals Manchester United.

The player in question? Scott McTominay.

Speculation surrounding the future of Scottish international McTominay has of course resurfaced in a major way over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after the powers that be at Manchester United moved forward with a long-anticipated move for Chelsea star Mason Mount.

With McTominay, as a result, having been pushed ever further down the pecking order under the watch of Erik ten Hag, suggestions that the Red Devils brass could look to cash in on the 26-year-old in a bid to raise funds have therefore inevitably spread in the media.

And, as alluded to above, one club who could yet afford United a helping hand in their summer efforts to shift McTominay comes in the form of West Ham.

And McTominay, it would appear, has now joined the likes of Juventus’ Denis Zakaria and Borussia Dortmund standout Edson Alvarez on David Moyes’ wishlist.

As per a report from Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, the transfer team at the London Stadium are ‘tracking’ the Red Devils star, with a view to a potential bid.
