Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, on Saturday, confirmed that the club fully intend to reignite their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Frontman Mbappe, of course, has long been tipped to take his talents to Spain’s capital.
In fact, just last summer, the transfer was widely considered to be as good as done, only for a last-minute change of heart on the part of the Frenchman culminating in him putting pen to paper on fresh terms at the Parc des Princes.
Left red-faced, it was, in turn, suggested that the powers that be at Real were ready to bring a permanent end to their long-standing Mbappe pursuit.
If the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Perez on Saturday evening are anything to go by, however, then, in fact, Los Blancos appear to remain altogether keen to add the talents of the 24-year-old to their star-studded ranks.
This comes on the back of an exchange between Real’s president, and a fan.
“Are you going to sign Mbappé, Florentino?,” the patron was asked.
And Perez was not at all shy in confirming his intentions with his ensuing response, explaining:
“Yes, but not this year.”
