Tottenham tipped to launch summer swoop for yet another Juventus star

Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are considering a fresh raid on Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus squad this summer, according to reports.

The latest Bianconeri star in the sights of Antonio Conte and co? Adrien Rabiot.

French international Rabiot has long proven something of a polarising figure at the Allianz Stadium, with fleeting reminders of the unquestionable brilliance possessed by the former PSG talent all too often followed by lengthy spells of abject, lifeless displays.

Recent weeks have actually seen Rabiot, to his credit, return to form, impressing in a deeper role in Juve's ranks in the middle of the park amid something of an injury crisis in Turin.

And such efforts, if the latest word stemming from the Italian media is anything to go by, appear to have caught the eye of none other than the aforementioned Tottenham.

As per a report from Calciomercato, Spurs director Fabio Paratici is interested in reuniting with Rabiot in north London ahead of next season, on the back of the successful additions of both Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur in January.

This comes after the Italian oversaw Juventus’ swoop for the Frenchman back in 2019, when he was snapped up on a free transfer following the expiration of his terms in Paris.

The transfer team at the Allianz Stadium, for their part, are understood to be open to the possibility of a sale, with a fee of just €15 million likely to be enough to push a deal over the line.

Tottenham, though, may need to make their move sooner rather than later, with the Old Lady also taking into consideration extending Rabiot's contract, currently set to expire in the summer of 2023.

Torino pair eyed

Interestingly, word of Spurs' alleged interest in Rabiot comes just 24 hours on from the capital club being tipped to launch an offensive for another pair of Serie A stars, currently plying their trade on the Granata half of Turin.

As per Italian daily Tuttosport, the transfer team in north London have identified Torino duo Bremer and Wilfried Singo as ideal additions to the club's defensive ranks.

A hefty £50 million double swoop, in turn, has been touted, as Antonio Conte aims to step up his overhaul of a Lilywhites squad evidently viewed as not being up to scratch at present.
