Ten Hag provides update on Manchester United transfer window

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has been discussing the January transfer window.

Manchester United are set to clash with AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

Manchester United kick off the midweek action sat 4th in the Premier League, two points clear of Tottenham who have played one more game than the Red Devils.

United’s last outing saw them beat Wolves 1-0 thanks to a goal from substitute Marcus Rashford.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag was quizzed on the January transfer window.

The Red Devils were linked heavily with Cody Gakpo, but he has since made the switch to Liverpool.

But Manchester United still need a striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club in late November.

However, when asked about transfers pre-Bournemouth, Ten Hag gave very little away:

“I can’t tell you nothing about that,” he said. “Definitely we have a good squad and especially in this moment we have a good team. But there are so many games coming and we need a squad for that and also to get a better balance in the squad, we are aiming for that.

“We are always looking for better. We are orientating and we are making an effort to strengthen the squad, but I can’t tell you anything about it in this moment. When we can do, we will do it straight away.”
