Aubameyang stuck at Chelsea

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is stuck at Chelsea for the rest of the season.

Following reports of a potential return to FC Barcelona, the Spanish FA have since clarified rules about players returning to a club during the same season.

As reported by European football journalist Colin Millar, Aubameyang is not allowed to re-register for Barca this season having already de-registered earlier in the campaign.

The striker signed for Chelsea in a deal worth €10 million after the 2022/23 season had commenced.

He is not allowed to sign for the Catalan club and in addition, having already featured for two clubs, he cannot sign for a third, FIFA rules state.

Therefore, he is stuck in a nightmare situation at Stamford Bridge where he cannot leave until the season ends.
