Revealed: Newcastle inform Chelsea how much they are willing to pay for Marc Cucurella

Newcastle are looking to sign a left-back and Marc Cucurella is a strong target.

Newcastle United are on the hunt for a new left-back this summer.

Last season, Eddie Howe used Dan Burn in this role and whilst he did an impressive job there, an upgrade is needed.

One player that the Tyneside club are looking at is Marc Cucurella and they have even contacted Chelsea about a deal...

Newcastle inform Chelsea of Cucurella interest

Newcastle United have informed Chelsea of their interest in Marc Cucurella, according to Felix Johnston.

They indicated that they were willing to pay between £25-30 million for the defender.

The Spaniard has had a torrid time in west London and his future at the club has been called into question.

However, given that the Blues paid £65 million for him last summer, it is likely that they will demand more of their money back if they are to sell him.

Newcastle are not the only club interested in Cucurella, Atletico Madrid have also enquired about the player.
