FC Barcelona are making a late move for Bernardo Silva but Manchester City’s stance could scupper that

FC Barcelona have made a sensational late move to sign Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese midfielder has been in and out of the team at Manchester City and could be seen as being surplus to requirements under Pep Guardiola.

Barça have therefore tested the waters regarding a potential move for Silva on Deadline Day...

Man City’s stance over selling Silva

Barcelona has tried to sign Bernardo Silva on the last day of the winter transfer window, according to AS.

Barça is looking for reinforcement for an attacker and the Portuguese midfielder is a long-term target of Joan Laporta.

However, Manchester City are unwilling to let Silva leave on the last day of the window.

The player wants to join Barcelona and is pushing to make it happen, but the possibility of a deal materialising is slim due to Man City’s strong stance.

Man City have just lost one of their Portuguese stars with Joao Cancelo joining Bayern Munich on loan.
