Revealed: How much money Manchester United will save from Cristiano Ronaldo exit & plans to sign striker in January

A fresh insight into Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock exit from Manchester United has emerged on Wednesday.

In one of the most shocking stories of the year, it was announced on Tuesday that Cristiano Ronaldo has had his Manchester United contract terminated.

This comes after Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan that saw him take aim at the club, the manager and many more.

In a statement on Tuesday, Manchester United wrote: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”

Now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Manchester United will save around £17m following the striker’s exit as Ronaldo agreed not to receive any pay-off.

It is added that Manchester United’s plan was to invest in a new striker in July, but Man United are now already exploring the market to find a solution in January due to CR7 leaving the club.
