Revealed: How Arsenal could afford Kylian Mbappe deal

Arsenal have been linked with Kylian Mbappe in recent weeks.

As 101 covered at the beginning of the month, Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a sensational move for world-class attacker Kylian Mbappe when he becomes a free agent next summer following the expiration of his PSG deal.

PSG, meanwhile, want Mbappe to sign a new deal with them or leave this summer, so they do not lose him for free next year when his contract runs out.

The BBC also covered reports over the weekend, which claimed PSG have been accused of ‘moral harassment’ after leaving Kylian Mbappe out of their pre-season tour of Asia, and the French footballers’ union said it could take legal action.

Now, an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Mbappe has been provided.

A report from Football Transfers states that Arsenal are weighing up making a bid for Mbappe, and they would be willing to include winger Gabriel Martinelli in any proposed bid for the French superstar.

Mbappe recently confessed that if he ever was to join a Premier League team, it would be Arsenal.

This would likely allow Arsenal a much more realistic chance of signing Mbappe as though no transfer figure is mentioned for Martinelli, the Brazilian is still young and his recent form likely means he is worth quite a bit.
