Revealed: Ajax’s stance over Antony sale after Hakim Ziyech deal collapses & their strong position NOT to sell now

Manchester United could now find doing a deal for Antony difficult with Ajax struggling to find a replacement.

According to Dutch journalist Gerjan Hamstelaar, Ajax’s Ziyech alternatives are at such a lower level, that they are no longer willing to cooperate with the sale of the Brazilian.

So now, either Chelsea must lower their asking price for Ziyech or another suitable replacement must be found.

It was reported yesterday that the Blues were asking for €44 million for the Morrocan.

Why Ajax are in a strong position to keep him

The big concern for Manchester United is that Ajax are in a very strong position in regards to the sale of Antony.

The Dutch club find themselves in such a position of power due to this winter’s World Cup.

The winger will be desperate to be part of Brazil’s squad and play a key role for A Seleção.

The Brazilian national team are stacked in attack and the 22-year-old will need to prove himself to earn a prominent role.

Therefore, he has no leeway to throw his toys out the pram, which could also jeopardise a potential future transfer.

So, Ajax can either demand silly money now or keep hold of the winger as they look to compete in both the Eredivisie and Champions League.
