Official: Manchester United complete 3rd summer signing

Manchester United have announced their 3rd signing of the summer on August 5.

Manchester United began their summer spending by agreeing a deal to sign England midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea on a five-year contract for £55m, plus £5m in add-ons.

They then completed the £47.2m signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan last month.

And now, the Red Devils have confirmed ahead of their pre-season friendly with Lenes that Rasmus Hojlund has made the move from Atalanta.

Manchester United do not mention a transfer fee, but it is understood to be £64m plus £8m in add-ons.

After signing for Manchester United, Hojlund said: “It is no secret that I have been a fan of this great club since I was a small boy, and I dreamed of walking out at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.

“I am incredibly excited by this opportunity to turn that dream into a reality, and I am determined to repay the faith that the club has shown in me. It is still early in my career, but I know that I am ready to make this step up and play with this group of world-class players.
