Nottingham Forest ‘pushing’ for signature of Leicester striker

Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest are ready to step up their efforts to land a headline member of the attacking setup at Leicester City, according to reports.

The subject of outgoings has of course dominated the headlines at Leicester over the course of the last month.

This comes with the Foxes’ talent-filled squad in the process of being raided, on the back of their shock relegation to The Championship.

To this point, the likes of James Maddison, Youri Tielemans and Caglar Soyuncu have all opted to call time on their respective stints at the King Power Stadium.

The outflux appears far from finished, though, with Harvey Barnes inching towards Newcastle United, and Timothy Castagne in the sights of Juventus.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday evening is anything to go by, then yet another member of Enzo Maresca’s squad could soon find his way back to the top-flight, too.

As per a report from transfer insider Santi Aouna, Nottingham Forest are keenly interested in the services of Kelechi Iheanacho.

In fact, Aouna goes as far as to claim that the Nigerian hitman is Forest’s ‘priority’ summer signing, with the powers that be at the City Ground hopeful of striking an agreement with their Leicester counterparts at some point over the coming days.
